On December 22, Superintendent Dr. Langenfeld on behalf of the the Green Bay Area Public School District Board of Education and administration recognized Preble alum Lokhin Cheng (Class of 2015) for achieving the Wisconsin 2015 Advanced Placement State Scholars award.

Lokhin was chosen as a State Scholar for achieving scores of 3 or higher on the greatest number of AP exams taken. Lokhin completed 20 exams and he was awarded 45 credits at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), allowing him to begin college as a second semester freshman. He is the second Preble High School student to achieve such an honor, the first in 2010. Only six high schools in Wisconsin have had multiple AP State Scholars.
