Leonardo da Vinci School for Gifted Learners Breaks Ground

IMG_3384On May 8, 2014, Green Bay Area Public School District Board Members, Superintendent Dr. Michelle Langenfeld and administrators along with Mayor Jim Schmitt, community partners, donors, parents, and contractors held a groundbreaking ceremony for the Leonardo Da Vinci School for Gifted Learners, which is set to open for the 2014-15 school year. After the ceremony, tours of the building were offered to those in attendance.

To kick-off the ceremony, School Board President Dr. Brenda Warren addressed the crowd, followed by Dr. Michelle Langenfeld, Green Bay Mayor Jim Schmitt, and Leonardo da Vinci School for Gifted Learners Principal Tammy Van Dyke. They spoke of the school’s importance to the Green Bay community and the downtown area, and how the school’s students will be our future leaders and innovators in the years to come. It was a very special and historic celebration!
