In the fall of 2012, the Green Bay community came together to support a movement to save the iconic log cabin located outside of Fort Howard Elementary School from demolition. Built in 1975-1976 by teacher Charles Hatfield and the students and staff of Fort Howard, the cabin had given in to the elements and was in desperate need of repair. Through generous donations from local businesses and community members, the cabin has been fully restored to its original condition. To thank donors for their support during the renovation of this historic Green Bay landmark, a dedication ceremony will take place on Friday, June 7 at 11:00 a.m.

The ceremony will take place at the log cabin at Fort Howard Elementary School, 520 Dousman St.
