Preble and East High School Students Perform Well in State FBLA Competition; Advance to Nationals

Students from Green Bay East and Preble high schools recently competed at the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) State Leadership Conference in Wisconsin Dells on April 15 and 16. Students who placed in the top two of each event will advance to the National Leadership Conference which will take place in Anaheim, CA this summer. FBLA is an education association that helps a quarter million students prepare for careers in business and business-related fields. The competition results are as follows:

East High School:
Andrew Pfluger – 1st place in e-business
Jacob Thomas – 3rd place in Computer Problem Solving
Megan Morris and Carissa Langenhuizen – Web Design Team (missed going to Nationals by 5 points)

Preble High School:
Jessica Franco, Staci Kropp, and Annie Robertson – 1st place in Global Business
Lizzie Keiler – 1st place in Introduction to Business
Anja Marshall and Haday Yang – 3rd place (national alternate) in Web Site Design
Haley Siegworth and Paige Wimberly – 4th place in Desktop Publishing
Karyn Cmelya, Lauren Miketinac, and Carley Ripp – 4th place in Management Decision Making
Eddi Flores, Gage Meyer, and Tyler Wetger – 6th place in Financial Systems
