Does your Student belong in a Program for Academically Gifted Learners? Find out March 11 & 14

Community members interested in learning more about programs for academically gifted students in the Green Bay area are encouraged to attend two upcoming informational sessions in March. Since the beginning of the 2012-13 school year, Langlade Elementary has offered a “School within a School” for academically gifted students in grades one through five. New for the 2013-14 school year, Lombardi Middle School will offer the same program for gifted students in grades six through eight. Details for the informational sessions are as follows:

Monday, March 11 at 6:00 p.m.: Lombardi Middle School, 1520 South Point Road
Thursday, March 14 at 6:00 p.m.: Langlade Elementary School, 400 Broadview Drive

The “School Within a School” programs provide the appropriate level of challenge for academically gifted students in a rigorous, student-centered and diverse learning environment that prepares students to be world leaders. To accommodate the unique academic, social and emotional needs of gifted students, instructors move students at their pace through units of study that provide depth and complexity while exploring topics of interest.
