John Dewey Academy of Learning Students to Present Research Projects Nov. 29

On Thursday, November 29, students of the Green Bay Area Public School District’s first charter  school, John Dewey Academy of Learning, will present the projects they’ve chosen, researched and designed for the past few months. Students have conceptualized research projects on a variety of subjects, including: bullying and suicide, pain management, German culture, and human dreams. Students submitted proposals outlining the project, the process, and the standards to be developed and mastered before beginning, and credits are not earned until their project meets state standards. The presentation will take place from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., and the public is welcome to attend.

The mission of the John Dewey Academy of Learning is to provide students with a rigorous, project-based curriculum, and a safe community in which to learn. By developing the whole person – academically, professionally and personally, the academy will assist students in reaching their full potential. John Dewey is located at 1420 Harvey Street.
