The students of East High School have taken on a challenge with their upcoming production of the unfinished Charles Dickens’ story “The Mystery of Edwin Drood.” This colorful and unpredictable musical opens Friday, November 2 at 7:00 p.m., and will be performed at the same time Saturday, November 3, and Friday, November 9. On Saturday, November 10, a matinee performance will take place at 1:00 p.m. Many of the student performers are also members of the East High School Institute for the Fine Arts, a new program that was launched in the 2011 – 2012 school year. Students in the institute study under master teachers and artists, receive private instruction, develop an artistic portfolio, and earn academic credit for their private and independent study in the arts.

“The Mystery of Edwin Drood” will be performed in the East High School auditorium, 1415 E. Walnut Street. Tickets are $8 for reserved seating, $7 for general admission and $5 for Green Bay Area Public School District students with school identification.  For ticket information, contact Karen Stuebs at (920) 448-2090.
