Summer Food Program Offers Free Nutritious Meals to Children throughout Summer Break

Learning does not end when school lets out. Neither does the need for proper nutrition. The Green Bay Public Schools Food Service Department in conjunction with the Green Bay Park and Recreation Department, the Brown County Library and the Boys and Girls Clubs of Green Bay will be offering free meals through the Federally-Funded Summer Food Program. The program will run Monday through Friday in the summer, beginning Wednesday, June 13 and ending Friday, August 17. There will be no meal service on Wednesday, July 4.

All children 18 years of age and under are eligible to receive free meals. Registration is not required – children may simply visit one of the local parks to enjoy a tasty and nutritious lunch. Children are required to stay on site to eat, and adults over 18 are welcome to participate for a fee of $2.00.
