The size of the Green Bay Area Public School District allows many choice options for parents. On Thursday, January 12, families and high school students interested in pursuing an in-depth music program can take a peek at the East High School Institute for the Fine Arts from 6:30-8:00 p.m. Tours can also be scheduled by calling the school at 448-2090 or e-mailing the principal, Ed Dorff, at eldorff@gbaps.org.

The Institute provides an opportunity for students to engage in advanced study in their chosen musical discipline under the guidance of master teachers in the community. Students combine their study with additional work and performances in the school setting, resulting in both academic credit for individual study and the development of an artistic portfolio. Students can pursue studies in piano, guitar, harp, orchestra, band, and vocal performance.  Institute students must enroll at East High School.
