Dr. Michelle Langenfeld Named Green Bay Superintendent

The Green Bay Area Public School District Board of Education has today announced Dr. Michelle Langenfeld as the new Superintendent of Schools and Learning. Langenfeld will replace outgoing Superintendent Greg Maass, who is retiring.

“Michelle Langenfeld brings a wealth of experience in raising the achievement level of students in a large, diverse school district,” said Jean Marsch, School Board President. “We look forward to working with Michelle as part of the leadership team to make the Green Bay Area Public School District the district of choice in Northeast Wisconsin. This was not an easy decision, as we had two excellent candidates.”

Langenfeld is currently the Associate Superintendent for the Anoka Hennepin School District in Minnesota, serving approximately 40,000 students. She received her master’s and doctorate in Educational Policy and Administration from the University of Minnesota.
