The general public has the opportunity to meet superintendent finalist Damian LaCroix from 3:00-4:15 p.m. on Tuesday, June 7 in the District Office Board Room, 200 South Broadway.

Damian LaCroix – Superintendent of the Howard-Suamico School District, Green Bay, Wis.
Damian LaCroix currently serves as Superintendent of Schools for the Howard-Suamico School District.  As an All-American college student-athlete, award-winning classroom teacher, state champion coach, and a progressive educational administrator, LaCroix possesses 20 years of successful leadership experiences at the elementary, high school, and district levels.

Through his collaborative leadership style in Howard-Suamico School District, LaCroix facilitated the development of high performing learning communities for all instructional staff and students.  His exciting view of public education’s future has resulted in the delivery of innovative student programming including Discovery Education’s digital media content, the STEM Academy, the online iAcademy, dual credit college course options, and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.  His partnership with community supporters contributed to successful referenda efforts for new school facilities totalling almost $50 million; and hundreds of thousands of dollars have been raised through stakeholder donations for targeted causes such as the Giving Tree Food Pantry and Howard-Suamico Educational Foundation.

Vision, passion, and productivity are LaCroix’s trademarks leading to his selection to several prominent leadership groups including the Educational Research and Development Institute, the New North Regional Economic Development Board, and chair of the Green Bay Chamber Partners in Education. Guided by his leadership, the Howard-Suamico School District recently was the only K-12 school system to qualify for a site visit from the Wisconsin Center for Performance Excellence in consideration for the prestigious Wisconsin Forward Award.

LaCroix earned his specialist’s certificate from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, his master’s degree from Marian College, and his bachelor’s degree from Lawrence University.  A native of Madison, Wisconsin, LaCroix lives in Suamico with his wife Melissa and their four children (ages 14, 12, 11 and 9).  When not working, Damian enjoys family time, serving as a church elder, reading history, coaching youth sports, and barbecuing on the grill.

The meet and greet for Michelle Langenfeld will be held the same time and location on Wednesday, June 8.
